Teaching
I enjoy the creative aspects of teaching violin and I am comfortable working with individuals and groups of all ages. Part of what excites me is playing a variety of different styles of music, including classical, contemporary, traditional fiddle and improvisation, and I love to share my enthusiasm with my students. With the belief that the teacher/student collaboration should be guided by mutual trust and a strong relationship, I take time to get to know each student and I tailor my teaching to an individual’s learning style and goals.
I offer lessons in many different formats and settings:
One on one instruction, catered to each student, no matter the age or experience
Masterclasses for groups such as youth orchestras and university studios and classes - any level and group size welcome
Fiddle workshops at festivals, schools, after-school programs, etc.
A series of group classes focused on different topics of technique, such as vibrato, shifting, performance anxiety, stretching, etc.
Chamber music coaching and masterclasses - any mix of instruments and ages welcome
Workshops with composers, working through new compositions and culminating in a performance

Teaching Fees
Private fiddle and violin lesson fees are $45-$65. Please inquire for group lesson, master class and workshop fees.
